AWARDS TO WINNING TEAMS AT DESIGN PRACTICUM IIT MANDI

Shailendra  Jaiswal  Mentor  Srijan Sanchar  was invited  as an expert member of the open house for product development course.  The  Open house was    held at the IIT Mandi campus in Mandi, HP, on October 1, 2022. All the students from second year of B.Tech.  participated in this open house. Fifty  interdisciplinary   teams were   asked to design a prototype based on commercially-off- the- shelf (COTS) hardware or software (Preferably open source). Prototypes  were used to gather requirements, and were especially useful in visualizing the look and feel of an application and the process workflow. The prototype can be used as the basis for developing the final solution. The goal when developing such prototypes is to capture the functions and appearance of the finished product. These prototypes are used for testing and evaluation, and provide useful information for the user to rank the products or the features. All  the prototypes were  interesting  and lot of effort  and  thinking had got  in to making  them  .  The key requirements was  that the prototype  must  work .

Srijan Sanchar  is delighted to be  associated  with Design Practicum  of IIT Mandi and is working  to transform many of  the showcased  prototypes  to products through its Industry  Academia  collaboration Platform .
